Title: Sweet Things
Paring: Luhan / Xiumin
Summary: Minseok loved food. All food. But despite what everyone thought, he was not the member of EXO with food mooching tendencies.
Inspired by this.
Minseok loved food. All food. His round cheeks and oh so frequently used nickname were only proof of the fact. But despite what everyone thought, he was not the member of EXO with food mooching tendencies. In fact, the one usually doing all of the food mooching was the one who gave him his round-faced food nickname. And usually that food was mooched off of Minseok himself.
So it was no surprise when they were sitting in the airport terminal and Minseok could suddenly feel Luhan staring at him without even having to see it. Luhan had been poking around in his small paper ice cream cup with his little pink plastic spoon for the last five minutes trying to scrape out the last little bits of his long devoured ice cream scoop and now that he had absolutely no ice cream left in his own cup he had turned his attention to Minseok’s milkshake.
Minseok tried not to look. He really tried. He looked up at the ceiling, out the windows and around at all the people walking around the airport terminal, determinedly keeping his eyes anywhere but on the boy beside him. But he had no choice but to turn and look at the sound of Luhan’s sugary sweet voice.
“Baozi…” Luhan’s eyes were wide, his mouth set in a small pout as he stared straight into Minseok’s soul. “Share…”
Minseok could feel his resolve weakening, his brain was starting to fill with this fluffy sort of buzzing sound and he had an intense urge to hand Luhan his milkshake and then ruffle Luhan’s hair (even though he knew Luhan hated when he messed up his hair in public). But he nervously tried to swallow and his suddenly dry mouth reminded him just how much he was enjoying his milkshake. He was enjoying it and it was his and he was not going to share. Not even with bambi over there.
“No. Mine.” Minseok said, turning away and taking another sip of his milkshake, all thoughts of big sad eyes washed away by how delicious it was.
“Minseokie.” Luhan whined, scooting a little closer and tugging slightly on Minseok’s shirt sleeve.
Minseok could hear the pout on Luhan’s face just from the tiny huff the other boy made, Luhan’s hand falling away from his sleeve. Out of the corner of his eye he could see Luhan staring forlornly down at the empty little paper cup in his hands. Occasionally Luhan would glance back over at him, giving a quiet sigh before returning to poking the little plastic spoon around the paper cup. Minseok sipped at his milkshake and tried to ignore the sulking going on beside him but each little sigh and pathetic glance was worse than Luhan begging out loud.
“Yah, stop it!” Minseok finally cried, standing abruptly from his seat and stalking away, taking his milkshake with him. It was only after he was about ten feet away that he remembered he was in the airport and had nowhere to stalk off to without running the risk of walking straight into a group of girls with cameras. So he found himself hiding in the bathroom, leaning against the countertop with the sinks, sipping his milkshake and silently cursing Luhan and his big sad doe eyes.
He had just thought up his third way to get back at Luhan for this later when said boy came walking into the bathroom, obviously looking for him. Minseok clutched his milkshake to his chest, half glaring, half pouting as Luhan walked up to him.
“No, Luhan! It’s my milkshake and I like it and you should have gotten your own like I told you to. The sad mooch face isn’t going to work this time.” Minseok said firmly even though his belief in said statement was far from firm.
“Okay.” Luhan said simply and Minseok could hardly believe it. Had he won? His eyes widened slightly in shock.
They widened further when Luhan took a quick glance around to make sure they were alone before leaning in and kissing him, tongue licking along his lips and then curling against his own, warming it from the cold milkshake. Luhan still tasted like the ice cream he had been eating and the way the taste contrasted with that of his own milkshake combined with the way Luhan’s tongue tickled the roof of his mouth sent a shiver through Minseok’s body. When Luhan pulled away he had to stop himself from dragging the other boy back, reminding himself they were still in public and not in the privacy of their dorm.
Minseok blinked, dazedly at Luhan as the blonde boy tossed the empty paper cup and pink plastic spoon into the nearby trashcan. “W-what was that for?”
“It’s the only way I’m going to get to try your milkshake, since you won’t share.” Luhan replied, giving one final tiny pout at that before smiling. “Also, I love you.”
And with that, Luhan walked back out of the bathroom as if nothing had happened.
It was a few minutes before Minseok considered the blush on his face faded enough to return to the public eye. When he made it back to his seat he took one final sip of his milkshake before handing what remained to Luhan.
Luhan’s face lit up with a bright smile as he took the cup into his hand, scooting closer and resting his other hand on Minseok’s leg. “Thank you! My Baozi is so sweet.”
And Minseok grinned, watching Luhan happily sip at the sweet drink, still smiling at him between each sip. Because Minseok loved food but he loved Luhan more.
